Tekne Studio handled technical execution for two interactive installations by artist Marlus Araujo at TokenNation – Bienal de São Paulo, that transform visitor movement into real-time generative visuals.

ELEMENTAIS uses AI hallucinations to transform how visitors see their own movements. As people move through the space, the system interprets their gestures through the lens of an artificial intelligence, generating visual representations of primordial elements – fire, earth, air, and water – intertwined with natural phenomena and organic forms that pulse and flow. The result is a mirror that doesn’t reflect reality but reimagines it through algorithmic interpretation.
Mycelium Flow
MYCELIUM FLOW draws from Marlus’s ongoing research into biomimicry and generative visual computation. The work references mycelium networks – the fungal systems essential to planetary sustainability – using reaction-diffusion models that simulate natural phenomena, from chemical reactions to biological development patterns. Part of the larger “MYCELIUM STUDIES” series, the installation recreates the intricate patterns and processes of the organic world, inviting viewers to experience the hidden architectures that sustain life.
